Create to Calm, is a relaxed, supportive 6-week art experience for women who are curious about how creativity can support nervous system regulation and overall wellbeing.
Facilitated by Kristin Wishart, an excitable creative obsessed with connecting people through creativity , and Lauren Kerr, a social worker passionate about the connection between art and nervous system regulation, this group promises to be a thoughtful blend of creative practice and wellbeing support, in a safe and relaxed group environment.
No art experience is needed, just a willingness to show up and explore.
What to Expect
- A 6-week facilitated art group
- Exploration of different art mediums and creative processes
- Introduction to simple nervous system regulation concepts
- A process-focused, non-judgemental approach to creativity
- A calm, supportive space to slow down and reconnect

- 6 guided, in-class creative projects using different mediums (all materials supplied) Think watercolours, mixed media, acrylics, fabric paint and more!
- Weekly take-home resources to build your own personal regulation and creativity kit which will include your own art journal, paint markers, collage materials and mini take home art projects
- Access to a Private Facebook group to maintain connection outside of these sessions
This group is perfect for:

powerful effects creativity can have on their wellbeing.
• Women who are curious about both learning to regulate their nervous system and also wanting to reignite their creativity in an informal group environment.
• Women craving connection in a shared
creative and supportive space
NDIS invoicing is available for those with funding and support workers are welcome to attend to support and assist clients in these sessions.
Please note this group is not a form of therapy or counselling and is not suited to those experiencing acute mental health distress.
